Sometimes in the whirlwind of becoming mothers, then caring for children we lose track of caring for ourselves. We push our own needs to the side and focus on the needs of others. While this is noble, it is not the best way to care for ourselves or our families. It's akin to the speech the airline stewardess gives before the plane takes off, where she talks about safety. They say to put your own oxygen mask on first in the event of an emergency, so you are better able to help someone else. Being a mother is exactly the same. We must make our own health and happiness a daily priority in order to experience our children more freely and joyfully, to have more freedom in our own lives and to truly teach them how to value themselves and their own health. How will they learn balance in their lives and valuing themselves in different kinds of relationships if we cannot demonstrate it as parents?I believe we can both care for our children and ourselves in a way that elevates us both as mothers and as people. I want to help you make a roadmap to identify the areas of your life that you have been neglecting, make a plan to get yourself feeling and a looking your best and support you through taking actions to accomplish it. It's never too late to start feeling like the most vibrant, happy version of yourself and it starts by taking action today.
